Revibrant Kids began with two friends who wanted something better for the kids in their lives.
Kristie and Amy were two Children's Directors, just ten miles apart in California—Kristie in Malibu and Amy in Pacific Palisades—both passionate about making Sunday School and children's discipleship fun, engaging, and deeply meaningful. Over lunch one day, they realized they shared the same frustration: why was teaching kids the Bible so cumbersome and lacking creativity? Why didn’t it follow the natural narrative of God’s story? Kristie had been writing lesson plans to fill this gap, and Amy eagerly began using them too. They became great friends, refining their ideas together.
As life got busy, they drifted apart, checking in occasionally. Kristie knew the curriculum needed a complete overhaul but felt unmotivated to tackle it alone. Then, one unexpected night, a visiting friend from India urged Kristie to reconnect with Amy—literally knocking on her door. Amy welcomed her with open arms, and by the end of the night, REViBRANt KiDS was born.
What started as a simple blueprint evolved into comprehensive experience guides for families, teachers, homeschool parents, and Sunday School leaders. The goal? To empower adults to help children build a firm spiritual foundation in a way that was immersive, relational, and transformational.
What they didn’t expect? That 90-year-olds and 9-year-olds would be learning side by side in a shared journey of faith. REViBRANt KiDS is unique—designed for K-5 children, but as it turns out, serving every child of God at any age.
We’re so glad you’re here. Our hope is that this journey equips you to not just know about Jesus, but to develop a relationship with Him that transforms your life.
Amy Pendergraft has spent 20 years leading children’s and family ministries across Southern California—including Newport Beach, Riverside, and the Pacific Palisades. She has a deep love for helping kids know God and live confidently in relationship with Jesus.
Amy holds a Master’s in Education from Concordia University Irvine and a Bachelor’s degree from USC, and she is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Ministry in Spiritual Formation and Leadership at George Fox University’s Portland Seminary. She’s married to her college sweetheart, Garrett, a professor at Pepperdine, and together they live on campus raising three amazing kids who inspire her daily with their curiosity and joy.
As the Pastor of Discipleship at Malibu Pacific Church, Amy equips families and leaders to grow in faith together through creative, meaningful experiences. She also serves as co-founder of Revibrant Kids, where she brings her passion for practical discipleship and lifelong learning to help children and families encounter God’s truth in ways that last.
Kristie Christie has spent two decades helping children, families, and global nonprofits tell and live their stories with purpose. While completing her degree in education, she became fascinated by brain research that sparks lasting learning—shaping her focus on Inclusive Education, Gifted Education, and Educational Psychology. Her years working with Compassion International deepened her passion to protect every child’s right to safety, belonging, and wonder.
Kristie’s favorite thing is running into kids she’s known who are now adults and hearing all about their lives. She also invests deeply in the kids growing up around her—nieces, nephews, and the many kids of friends and neighbors who know her as their biggest fan and advocate. She lives in Calabasas, California, where she loves gathering friends and experiencing each day and season fully alive.
As co-founder of Revibrant Kids, Kristie designs imaginative, Bible-based experiences that help kids and families encounter God’s story in ways that stick. She is also the founder of StoryArtist, a creative consultancy that equips mission-driven leaders and organizations to communicate with clarity, authenticity, and impact.
